STORY UPDATE: Apparently The Huffington Post, The UK World News and even The Daily Mail all were trick into believing this story was true. Unfortunately Erotic News was also duped. We apologize for the inaccuracy of this report.
File this under the “WTF is wrong with the world” category of sex news. Who knew that so many Egyptian men were pining to have “farewell intercourse” with the cold copses of their dead wives? Well, it’s official, as a new “farewell intercourse law” is being planned in Egypt which would allow a husband to have sex with his wife for up to 6 hours after her death.
The necrophilia aspect of this wretched Egyptian law isn’t even the worst part.
The controversial new law is part of a bunch of new measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament. It will also see the minimum age of marriage lowered to 14 and the removal of women’s rights of getting education and employment.
Women rallying against the removal of women’s rights in Egypt!
Thankfully the Egypt’s National Council for Women is working hard to stop these terrible changes to the law, saying this:
‘marginalising and undermining the status of women would negatively affect the country’s human development’.
Journalists are also getting involved, like Egyptian Amro Abdul Samea who reported in the al-Ahram newspaper that Dr Mervat al-Talawi, head of the NCW, wrote to the Egyptian People’s Assembly Speaker Dr Saad al-Katatni and voiced her strong concerns regarding the legislations which are being introduced under ‘alleged religious interpretations’.
Who knew that so many people get “in the mood” after their wives have died. One thing is certain, something has to be done so that women’s rights are preserved and that human female remains are not desecrated in this manner.
